Provisional to Driver is a resource for parents and supervisors, and we want it to be usable by as many visitors as possible, including people using assistive technology.
What we’ve done
- Clear heading structure, so pages can be navigated with a screen reader or skimmed quickly.
- Descriptive link text rather than generic “click here” links.
- A layout that adapts to different screen sizes, including mobile.
- Printable PDF downloads formatted with readable fonts and a logical reading order.
Where we’re still improving
This site is actively developed, and not every page or older PDF has been fully reviewed for accessibility yet. If you come across an image without useful alt text, poor colour contrast, or a document that doesn’t work well with your screen reader, we’d like to know so we can fix it.
